Day 25

We slept in way later than we intended so decided against going hiking.  Instead we headed down to the other end of the strip to walk through the Luxor and Mandalay Bay.  We were able to do a lot of the walking indoors but when we were outdoors it was rough.  We were told later that Vegas is currently about 10 degrees cooler than usual.  So it was only about 106!  We headed over to the MGM to see the lions but there were no baby lions L. We didn’t see anything new so we decided to head back to our hotel.  When we got there Michael wanted to head to the gym.  I instead opted to hit the slot machines.  I won about 200 dollars which of course made me very happy.  I even gambled enough that they gave me a free buffet dinner.  We weren’t that hungry so hadn’t intended on having a buffet dinner but couldn’t have eaten any cheaper.

We hit the pool before sunset.  I couldn’t believe that in the 100 degree weather that I could actually be cold.  Of course I’m always cold!  The pool was nice but there were a lot of kids splashing around that I could have done without.  After the pool we ate our quick dinner and then headed down the strip.  We wanted to check out a few of the shops at the Mirage then head over to the fountains at the Bellagio.   On our way over to the fountains Chrissy called to say they were doing the same thing.  Before we got outside though we ran into Chrissy, her mom and grandma in the casino then we all headed out together to see the fountains.   We saw the fountains to the song “Proud to be an American.”

The strip was crazy busy.  We went inside to do a little more gambling but it was a little expensive for our taste.  After a quick goodbye we were back in the car and heading back to the hotel.  Heading home in the morning!
