Day 9

This morning we woke up and debated whether to head out of the black hills or spend one more night at another campground (the one we were staying in was full for tonight).  We decided to stay figuring the campgrounds would probably be full other places being the 4th of July weekend and we could take a relaxing day to get laundry done.

When we got to the campground we found it to be almost empty.  The cabins are pretty full and they usually only use the camping areas for family reunion overflow.  The site is nice and level, unfortunately after we checked in we asked about laundry and their laundry room is out of service.  We will either have to stop at a laundry mat in the next 2 days or find a campsite with laundry tomorrow.

We went into Rapid City and got an oil change on the car.  After that we went to Olive Garden for lunch.  It was delicious!  After that, we walked around the mall for a bit.  Michael got 2 pairs or shorts and I got a pair of shorts and 2 new shirts.

On the way back we stopped at a rock shop. They were neat looking but we thought rocks are really only special when they are from a place you have been.  We got one from Crazy Horse yesterday.  When we got back to the campground, we hit the pool for awhile and then settled down outside to read and do some school work.  Later tonight we plan on having our first campfire and making smores.  Neither of us is really hungry after our big lunch so we skipped dinner.  Tomorrow Wyoming!
